2013 CBE Annual Undergraduate Research Day / NJAIChE Student Awards

The Chemical and Biochemical Engineering Department showed off its star students during two events on Monday, March 11, 2013:


The Undergraduate Research day took place from 12:00-1:30pm at the C-254 Corridor. Congratulations to the following students who have been awarded prizes:

1st Place Poster: Ashwin Parcha ('13) [Right] and Janki Patil ('14) [Left]
"The Effects of High-Shear Wet Granulation Process Parameters on Granule Characteristics"
Under the direction of Koushik Sowrirajan, Sarang Oka, and Dr. Rohit Ramachandran


2nd Place Poster: Chaitali Inamdar ('14) [Left]
"Assessment of Uncertainty Propagation in Dynamic Process Flowsheets for Pharmaceutical Manufacturing"
Under the direction of Amanda Roger, Fani Boukouvala, and Dr. Marianthi Ierapetritou


3rd Place Poster: Sammy Gulrajani ('13) [Right]
"Salicylic Acid-Based Biodegradable Polymers for Controlled Localized Drug Delivery"
Under the direction of Sabrina Snyder, Dr. Masanori Hara, and Dr. Kathryn Uhrich.

NJAIChE Student Awards Dinner took place from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at The Cove, BCC after the guest speaker presentation by Adam Forbes – Global Director, Staffing -- Staffing Center of Excellence -– Honeywell.

  • Science & Research: Emanuel Scoullos
