Outreach At Clifton High School

The Rutgers AIChE chapter participated in the New Jersey Science & Engineering Festival held at Clifton High School (Clifton, NJ). Members of the AIChE student chapter and Chem-E-Car team interacted with over 100 parents and kids promoting Chemical and Biochemical Engineering, Rutgers University, and the value of STEM. The RU AIChE table was set up next to RU EWB's table and the SoE table. Also present from Rutgers was the Solar Car, ISPE, and the Rutgers Astronomy Society (old site link).

Agnesa Redere ('14) looks on as Gary Spingarn ('13) teaches two kids about electrochemistry.

The two day outreach event was supported by Agnesa R. ('14), Alex M. ('14), Gary S. ('13), and Sumit S. ('13). On Saturday, the club had faced a handful of logistic difficulties, however the issues were remedied by RUPD, the Rutgers fire marshal, and the chapter's advisor, Dr. Tomassone. Rutgers AIChE thanks Dean Rankin and the rest of the School of Engineering outreach program for their support. For more pictures, check out the gallery.
